Symmetry VRC Enclosed

The Symmetry VRC Enclosed is a variant of the Vertical Platform Lift (VPL) that has been specifically designed without certain features required by the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). This elevator is primarily used for moving light materials, such as boxes, carts, and similar items. It finds applications in various industries, including marijuana greenhouses, dispensaries, and bakeries.

Symmetry VRC

Symmetry VRC Shaftway

This elevator is specialized elevator systems designed to streamline the movement of various items, such as boxes, carts, and other hard-to-lift objects, between different floors or levels within a building. These conveyors provide a convenient and efficient alternative to manual lifting, making the transportation process more manageable and less physically demanding.

Requirements

Symmetry Vertical Reciprocating Conveyors (VRC) are designed and built to meet or exceed the requirements of ASME B20.1, Safety Standard for Conveyors and Related Equipment.

Modular design

The pre-engineered components can be quickly assembled, reducing any disruptions to the building and its occupants during installation. Overall, the modular design and absence of on-site welding make this lift user-friendly and efficient to install. It also saves in costs by not requiring major building customizations.

Custom design

This lift can be customized to accommodate the specific requirements of different buildings or venues. It can be designed to fit the available space, including adjusting the size, capacity, and interior finishes to match the aesthetic preferences of the establishment. Material lifts

Only for goods and materials

Symmetry VRCs are purpose-built to ensure the smooth and secure movement of goods and materials between floors within a building. It’s important to note that they are not designed or authorized for carrying passengers. With strict adherence to safety standards, restricted access, clearly visible signage, and adherence to legal regulations, these lifts are meant exclusively for non-passenger purposes.

Forklift material lifts

Safe option

These lifts provide enhanced safety benefits compared to forklift trucks and manual labor for moving materials between levels. They minimize the risk of accidents and injuries, offering a safer solution. Moreover, VRCs are more cost-effective to operate and maintain than elevators, resulting in savings. With their space efficiency and versatility, VRCs are a reliable choice for efficient material handling across different industries and applications.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • How high does a material handling lift go?

Material handling lifts, a.k.a. Vertical Reciprocating Conveyors , can have a total travel or lifting height of 36′. The minimal travel between stops is 20″.

  • What are material handling lifts used for?

Material handling lifts or Vertical Reciprocating Conveyors (VRCs) are used for transporting materials and goods between floors. These lifts are not intended for passenger transport.

  • What are material handling lifts?

A Vertical Reciprocating Conveyor (VRC), or material handling lift, is a device that lifts and lowers materials from one level to another. No passengers are permitted on VRCs and the controls are operated on the outside of the lift. For the same reason, there is also no operating panel inside the lift.

  • What types of material handling lifts does Cibes Symmetry offer?

We offer three types of Vertical Reciprocating Conveyors (VRC): The VRC, which is a general application lift conveyor, the Symmetry VRC Enclosed, and the Symmetry VRC Shaftway. You can find more information about these lifts on the product pages.
